In one of our classes we had to develop our own CD, including a word mark, business card, letter paper, envelope, invoice and a curriculum vitae.
I used the font “Gotham” by Tobias Frere-Jones for texts. For the word mark and personal information I traced glyphs of the font with a brush and ink and scanned the results afterwards. Two years later I turned my traced glyphs into an own font named “Goatee”.
Every medium uses the same underlying grid and the same font-size to spacing ratio.
